I woke up at 1:52 in the morning. Seems I am missing the internet because I was dreaming of yinz.

Pittsburgh. Parkway East. Outbound. Before the Squirrel Hill Tunnel. Adam Avitable dressed as though he were Captain Jack Sparrow. Clownzilla dressed like Chucky. All of the decorations from this year’s alien invasion Avitaween party. One had to make it through the gauntlet of aliens to get through the tunnel, then on the other side was what would be 2010’s Avitaween theme. An elaborate Planet of the Apes set which also included a Ferris wheel.  A metric shit ton of actors covered in blood. Me, with a camera.

And no film.

So there’s that…

Not Just Any Friday in Orlando

Coffee, coffee, coffee! Hilly’s kingdom for coffee!

Hilly and I went to work with Britt today, which means that we went to Adam’s house. Lots of laughter. And a photo or two.

Edited to add this shot because it cracks me up…

Britt, Hilly and I did lunch before driving about a half an hour to the airport to grab Crystal. Drove around for another half an hour before we found out that Crys had already jumped in a cab to head to the hotel. Woops! We were sorry we missed her and shared a bunch more laughs on the cab ride back to Adam’s. Jester even joined in on the fun via da phone.

Not Jester:

Back to Adam’s so that Britt could finish up her work day while Hilly and I played with the folks who were helping Adam out with decorations. (Hi, Jess!)

We had plans to take Britt’s adorable kids out for the trick or treat festivities, so it was rush back home, get the kids into costume and hit the streets, begging for candy.

While we adults didn’t wear costumes, we did share fun devil horns…

Surprisingly no one gave out beer. Pittsburghers would have helped a thirsty girl out. Damn Florida! Although I will be honest and say that I can’t even trash folks…Jared drank a bit with me. And didn’t complain when I asked for a road pop.

Considering that it was snowing in Pittsburgh the day before I left, it was interesting to experience sand when trick or treating.

But the best part of walking around in a strange neighborhood? Sharing Halloween with a wonderful family…

Even if there was an impromptu waxing of the eyebrows session when we got back home. Ouch! When you see me, please try not to laugh and say that I should have been playing with the hotel bunch. I missed that group bunches and bunches, but how often does one get the opportunity to have two friends slather hot wax on your face and rip it off before looking at you mortified while they begin laughing hysterically? (Yes, I totally hope that they peed their pants. Bitches!)
