No Prize, Just Tell Me Which You Prefer

I wasn’t feeling well in the morning, so I hadn’t eaten all day. Sarah’s ultrasound was scheduled for 1:15 and we were there forever because Baby Donnie wouldn’t move the damn umbilical cord to let the techs see if she is a she or a he. (While I am convinced the baby is a girl, not knowing “officially” sure is maddening! It would be nice to name the baby in advance.) Lunch was a necessity.
Neither of us could really pick a restaurant because we were too worried about calling everyone with news of no news. Until my brain bounced quickly from the neighborhood we were in to a Japanese restaurant to another (better) Japanese restaurant to Chinese. The Olymics are in China. lets do Chinese food. Not just any Chinese food, but P.F. Chang’s Chinese food, to be exact. Yum. There was no doubt about it, I was pulling a U turn.
At 3:30 in the afternoon there were hardly any other patrons in the place, so we had no trouble getting a table. We ordered the lettuce wraps (a MUST) and decided to also do the crab wontons. Waiting for food seemed to take forever so we were each playing with our digital cameras. Hers is a Cannon, mine is a Nikkon.
Food arrived and we devoured the tasty treats quickly. Honestly, they didn’t have a chance between a pregnant woman and a famished woman! Smiling and feeling satisfied that we broke the world record for food obliteration we started playing with the cameras again. Sarah’s knows horizontal from vertical like an iphone. Way cool. Sarah’s camera will do black and white while leaving one color (like red….hehe). Sarah’s camera will shoot in Sepia. Mine? Not so much. Anyone wanna register a guess as to who paid double what the other paid for their cameras? (Le sigh. Who has a bridge they wanna sell me?)
Turns out we each have some sort of “up close” setting. I’m pretty certain “up close” isn’t technically the setting, but you get my drift. We both started taking photos of the garnish on the crab rangoon plate (at that point, the garnish was the only thing remaining!). So, can you tell the $250 difference? Who has the better camera:
Oh, and her fancy schmancy camera that cost half what mine did and I am not even bitter about? Took this photo:

(does this change which camera you are gonna vote for?!??!!!?)
EDITING COZ I NEED TO TELL YOU: Britt and Karl will be ending their professional smoking careers on Monday. I smoked for over 12 years and know that quitting ain’t easy. Give them a little love if you can, please. Click HERE for Britt’s website and HERE for Karl’s website.

Camera one looks better to me

To tell you the truth, both of those photos look very much the same. Thanks for the support on the quitting! It’s been moved to Sunday night at midnight now. Gonna be a bitch.

Camera 1, it’s crisper
also - totally snagged the I love Quitters icon.
hope you don’t mind

I think photo one is clearer than photo 2, however that can also be due to the person taking the photo.

what’s up with the blurriness of photo 3? did I do that? and not delete it? whoops.
I’m abstaining from the vote. I know which is mine and which is yours.
I think both photos are pretty much the same - there’s not much camera difference, mostly just lighting. And, again, I’m abstaining from stating a preference.

upon further review, yeah, I did take that. and not delete it. whoops.

Camera 2 definitely looks better. There’s more depth to the photo.

I like camera two better, but the shot is different so it’s hard to tell.

I’m thinking camera two is better.
And, just so you know I’m no amatuer when it comes to guessing things like this — I used to kick ass at The Pepsi Challenge.

I think your point has been made. Camera 1 and Camera 2 each have votes. I’m going with Camera 2. I always pick tails in ‘heads or tails’ and two feels like a tail to me.

I think both cameras are pretty good.
Although I am the brat with the super expensive Nikon D-40 with changeable lenses. So yeah.
Oh and I found some shoes you’ll probably like. Go here: http://www.modcloth.com/store/ModCloth/Womens/Shoes/Melissa+Petit+Prince+Flats

#1. Clearly.

I’ll have you know I have an almost professional eye after so many year around Motley’s dad who is a professional photographer. I agree with Karl that there is little to choose between them. #2 has better lighting. It isn’t softer than #1 if you realize what the focus of the shot is. Once you’ve picked that out, you can easily see that it’s no more out of focus than #1. I think the lighting does give the edge to #2 though.
It’s very close. And I’m fussy about images. I’m not an iPhone owner, but I do have $300 phone now. (Not that I paid full price for it.) It takes substantially better photos than my old phone, but that’s not a recommendation for anyone to buy it. I wouldn’t ever buy a phone for it’s camera capabilities.

You rock.
That is all ;-)

Camera #1 looks clearer. Camera #2 seems to have more color depth.
Once thing that will help is to turn the flash off on both. Set up the picture taking in a room with lots of natural light coming in. The lack of the flash will reduce the white splotches that you see on each piece of vegetable.

I think camera 2 took a better pic of the garnish.
