Holy Crap!

My favorite movie EVER has been made into a computer game. Yet I am not into gaming! Uggggh, what is a girl to do? If I buy the game and start playing, you know I will never again leave the house, right? (Hell, it is probably a gateway game to harder games the way marijuana is labeled a gateway drug to the bad stuff.)

Ok, so it isn’t Guitar Hero. Or any of the other popular games these days. It does, however, have allure for…gulp…this girl. (Sometimes it surprises me when I have such feminine longings. I mean it is about a princess for crying out loud. “Inconceivable!” hehe.)

But how can I possibly be expected to escape the calling of Tru Wuv…

“Help the Princess and her True Love manage life on the farm, defeat dastardly villains, survive the Fire Swamp, concoct miracle remedies, and vanquish the evil prince in order to live happily ever after. Along the way you play as and interact with a cast of your favorite characters including Buttercup, Westley, Inigo, Fezzik, Vizzini and Miracle Max.”

“Compete for high scores and advance through dozens of levels that are simple to start, addictive to play and challenging to master. Enjoy casual and narrative play modes with 5 games in 1 download!

* Episode 1 – As You WishTime / Click Management
* Episode 2 – Battle of WitsInconceivable Trivia Challenge
* Episode 3 – The Fire SwampTeamwork Puzzle Platformer
* Episode 4 – Miracle MaxHidden Objects & Potion Mixing
* Episode 5 – Storming the CastleCollect & Assemble Inventory”

That battle of wits part had better mention never getting involved in a land war in Asia. And there had better be fun storming the castle. Sigh. If you never hear from me again, I might have purchased it.

Although I am trying VERY hard not to. :)

Perhaps I will just go watch the movie instead…

Westley: Hear this now: I will always come for you.
Buttercup: But how can you be sure?
Westley: This is true love - you think this happens every day?

This is my favorite movie too, so I played a demo of this game and it’s retarded. It’s really, really, simple and clearly kid oriented. I’d rather just watch the movie again

I loved this movie as a kid! I haven’t seen it in SO long. I must head over to Netflix now.

I’m not into gaming either, but I am in the process of buying a super nintendo just so I can play that stupid mario world game that I was obsessed with as a kid. So yeah.. but don’t worry, if I get it I’ll blog about it. Pics and all.

While I love the movie and would love a real game based on it, that sounds horrible.

Okay Buttercup, is this what it’s going to take to get your attention for a couple minutes … comments on The Princes Bride … the game? Don’t we have something a little more constructive to do, comment on, organize, put a little thought into? Am I loosing you to this blog? Or, perhaps a better question would be … did I ever have you to begin with? It’s Inconceivable.

That is also one of my most very favorite movies of ALL time! Though I don’t think I would break down and buy the game. But I’ll be happy to live vicariously through your descriptions. However, it is time to watch it again. Definitely.

If you are not really into gaming, you’ll get sick of it…trust me. I played Puzzle Quest all of Christmas break and now can’t even look at it!

But I do need this game now, dammit ;).

Games are really cool. Movies are even cooler. I can’t wait to watch a movie on my new 52″ LCD TV! And I can’t wait to play video games on it either!

How, HOW did I not know you had a blog?

    …….

Am now fully recovered to say that I’m totally psyched about a PB game, as it’s also my fave. :)

please know that i appreciate everyone who loves my movie and even those like sage who fuck with me for liking it.

last night i had a bunch of witty replies to everyone individually…and a bunch of not so witty replies as well…when my fucking wireless card shit the bed. for no fucking reason.

ok, well…ummm…not exactly NO reason. see, i have to tell you that seeing beth comment over here made me so damn happy that i sorta jumped and kinda dropped the ole lappy top. :) yeah. umm, not proud, but true. (”hi, beth!!!”)

funny how a little thing like a comment from one of my favorite (kinda ex) bloggers made such a difference in my tuesday night.

ANYhow, thank you to all who commented on my favorite movie. while i won’t be buying the cheesy game, i will be watching the movie yet again this weekend. i’m sure it will compliment the new batman perfectly.
